What is a colour consultant and how can they help me?
A colour consultant offers expert advice on colour palettes that work best for your home or business. At Kraftsmann, our Colour Consultants will help you to create stylish and harmonious spaces that reflect your style and taste. They will advise on all elements of colour while ensuring that the colours selected work harmoniously together with your flooring and existing furniture.
What areas of colour consulting do you specialise in?
We specialise in both interior and exterior colour consultancy for residential and commercial properties. Our expertise includes creating new unique colours schemes and designing moodboards to match existing elements. We also consult with designers and architects on commercial projects.
Do you offer consultations for both residential and commercial projects?
Yes! We welcome both homeowners and businesses to our showroom. Our commercial team can for example advise on the best use of colour to maximise the potential of your office space or which paint finishes are most appropriate for all commercial applications.
What is your process for a colour consultation?
Our process involves:
An initial chat to understand your vision and style.
Designing custom colour palettes with detailed breakdowns.
Supply of sample pots or hand-painted A4 colour swatches.
We offer a FREE in-studio consultation for 30 minutes. However, most projects will require more than this and we offer an in-showroom consultation for €100/hr. A one hour will typically cover 2 — 3 rooms. Our Colour Consultants can also advise you on your colour scheme by visiting your home. This is preferable to the in-showroom consultation as the designer has the opportunity to see the true colours of the flooring, furniture, fabric and accessories and use these colours to tie the whole scheme together. By selecting colours in your home, you can see the impact of the lighting conditions of your room. Our in-home consultations cost €125/hour.
How much does a colour consultation cost?
Consultations are available instore for FREE for 30 minutes or €100/hr for longer consultations. Our in-home consultations cost €125/hr. Commercial consultations are quoted individually depending on the scope of the project and whether it includes an element of interior design as well as colour consultation.
Can you help me chose a colour scheme?
Definitely! We’ll expertly guide your paint colour selection, project preparation and finishes. You can choose from our signature Kraftsmann paints, our Clements & Moore range and Fleetwood Paints. We can also make you custom paint colours to match flooring, curtain fabric or tiles at no additional charge.
How do I prepare for my colour consultation?
Think about the overall feeling you want your space to evoke. Inspirational images from magazines or Pinterest are helpful but for in-studio consultations, please bring as many photographs as possible reflecting the changing light over the course of the day. Flooring samples if possible and any other materials in the rooms that you propose to use or keep.
Do you offer colour consultations virtually?
While in-person is ideal, we can accommodate virtual consultations. These work well for people with busy schedules. Please call to book a consultation and we will send you a complimentary Kraftsmann Paint and Clements & Moore Colourcards for you in advance.
